The return to service of the suspended EC225 fleet following the controlled ditchings in 2012 is proceeding according to plan. All oil & gas operators in each oil & gas region, such as Aberdeen, Norway, Australia, Malaysia, the United States, Angola and Brazil, are back in the skies.
Almost 91% of the oil & gas fleet is now flying, including the 8 EC225s that continued to fly without interruption in Vietnam and China. This means that almost 95% (161 aircraft) of the global EC225/725 fleet (including non-oil & gas aircraft) is now in operation.
