The return to service of the suspended EC225 fleet following the controlled ditchings in 2012 is proceeding according to plan. More than 69% of the oil & gas fleet is now flying, including the 8 EC225s that continued to fly without interruption in Vietnam and China. This means that more than 80% (136 aircraft) of the global EC225/725 fleet (including non-oil & gas aircraft) is now in operation.
53 out of 81 of the suspended aircraft have resumed full services since July 2013. Nearly 10 operators in regions including Aberdeen, Norway, Australia, Malaysia, the United States and Angola are back in the skies.
